So I did shoulders, lats, and light triceps. I skipped the legs figuring they deserve their own day. My workout was great my pre-workout supplement was mediocre. Well it was and it wasn’t.
I had my Creatine and protein as always. 50 grams of protein and 8 of creatine. And my preworkout was a serving of Betancourt’s D- STUNNER.
In their own words:
In the era of concentrated pre-workouts, the race is on to create even stronger products with no emphasis on long term increases in: performance, muscle growth or preventing devastating ‘crashes’ that can ruin your workouts. D Stunner™ features an advanced stimulytic blend of with REV-PEA™ which results in a no crash, sustained energy experience. REV-PEA™ is an advanced blend of energy and focus enhancing phenylethylamines which promote the release of epinephrine and norepinephrine, 2 powerful neurtransmitters.† The stimulant blend also features N-Methyltyramine which aids in preventing the breakdown of supplemented PEA. To promote boosts in performance and nitric oxide levels, D Stunner™ utilizes GlycoCarn® which is supported by research to promote the production of nitric oxide for the muscular ‘pump’ during exercise.† The combination of 3,7-dimethylpurine-2,6-dione and N-Methyltyramine HCl presents a new age advancement in the pre-workout category as it aids in improving breathing capacity.† This advancement combined with Quercetin (Quercetin may increase aerobic performance through muscle mitochondria) may lead to the maintenance of oxygen uptake.†
D-Stunner is an intriguing product.
The negative: taste was pretty bad.
It was fruit punch flavor but that gritty back alley taste was quite strong. It had a chem taste too. And if you know supplements even as a novice you know what I mean.
It tastes like medicine lol. Some supplements make taste the main thing. Good ingredients work but the gimmick that seals the deal for a lot of newbies is taste.
The positive: it worked.
I got a good pump and a great focus.
I was banging it out with an intense focus that lasted to the end. I actually had to make myself leave as I try to stick to a strict time frame in the gym.
My workout for shoulders, lats, and triceps was pretty damn good. I had great pumps and good energy levels all the way through.
As I’m just getting back in the gym after almost a half year out I get frustrated when I can’t meet what I feel is my potential, but I was able to rep out at lower weights for most of my exercises.
As for the breathing help I can’t vouch for it working. Maybe if I had a stack of samples I could. And I think I will go out and get 2 more. Maybe.
